Day 2: Xunantunich and San Ignacio

The class visited Xunantunich Maya Site today. Climbing to the top of the main temple, you are able to see over into neighboring Guatemala.  Following the morning tour, the class will spend some time at the Saturday town market in San Ignacio and poke around San Ignacio town shops and cafes before headed back to beautiful Chaa Creek to relax, swim or canoe the Macal River or take in the medicinal trail or butterfly farm.  A nice touring day before the field work begins at the Cockscomb starting tomorrow!
